Born July 17, 1952 in Farmington, MO, he was the son of Gale Gene & Dorothy Sikes of Farmington, MO and Anna Ruth Ellison Rothwell of Wichita, Kansas. On September 1, 1990 in Cape Girardeau, Mo he married Jackie Snyder Sikes who survives. Mr. Sikes was a RN at Capital Regional Medical Center and was a member of South Georgia Bonsai Club. Other survivors include son, Russ Skinner of Statesboro, GA., daughter, Anna Sikes of Coolidge, GA and sister, Kathryn Stegink of Wichita, Kansas. He was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Sikes.
