Funeral services for William Cicero Dillard are at 2:00PM, Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at the First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Bill Hamby officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Dillard died March 24, 2003 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born August 22, 1926 in Athens, Ga. he was the son of Walter L. Dillard Sr. and Mamie Shaw Dillard who both have preceded him in death. He owned and operated Dillard's Upholstery Shop for 52 years and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene for 72 years where he played the violin and many other musical instruments. He was an accomplished musician. Mr. Dillard married Frances Wentworth Kindred Dillard on March 9, 1952 in Metcalfe, Ga. Survivors include his wife Frances Wentworth Kindred Dillard of Thomasville, daughter and son-in-law Mary Dillard & Marty Gregory of Nashville, Tn., son and daughter-in-law Andy & Linda Dillard of Ashland City, Tn.; grandchildren, Rebekah Gregory, Matthew Dillard, Leah Dillard; brother, Walter L. Dillard, Jr. of Clearwater, Fl., sisters, Connie Moore of Nashville, Ga., Barbara Holladay of Danville, AL., brothers, Byron Dillard of Lynchburg, VA, Bruce Dillard of Thomasville, GA., Philip Dillard of Cedartown, GA., numerous nieces and nephews.
