Services for William Clarence Bowman, 72, of Ocala, Fla., are at 10 a.m., Friday, May 9, 2008, at First Baptist Church Chapel. The Rev. Tom Jacobs will officiate and interment is in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Bowman died May 5, 2008, in Ocala. Born December 17, 1935, in Blakely, he was the son of the late Alfred Bertise and Bessie Rimes Bowman. He was retired from the United States Coast Guard. He later worked for the Veterans Administration and was the owner of Florida Mortgage Services until his retirement. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Chief Petty Officers Association. Survivors include son, John Bowman; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com .
