William D Roxby

Services for William D Roxby, 82, of Thomasville are 1:00 pm, Friday, April 8, 2011 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Tim Blanton will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Roxby passed away April 5, 2011 at Plantation Manor. Born December 21, 1928 in Windber, PA, he was the son of the late Harold Roxby and Margaret Smith Roxby. On July 29, 1950 in Windber, PA he married Esther Miller Roxby who survives. He worked at Sears Auto Service Center in Hollywood Fl and after he moved to Georgia in the late 70's he worked at Pritchett Honda in Albany and Thomasville Honda as Service Manager; he drove a school bus for Thomas County and the bus for First Baptist Church of Thomasville where he was a member. Other survivors include son Gregory W. Roxby of Thomasville and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Harold Roxby, Gordon Roxby and sister, Margaret Roxby.
