William E. Sumner

Services for William "Bill" E. Sumner, 75, of Thomasville are 2:00 pm, April 2, 2011 at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Brent Welch will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Sumner passed away March 30, 2011 at Archbold Hospital. Born May 19, 1935 in Autreyville, Ga, he was the son of the late T.H. Sumner and Anna Adell Shiver Sumner. He was married to Patty Chapman Sumner, who preceded him in death. Mr. Sumner was retired from Davco as a field construction supervisor. Survivors include children James Sumner, Dedra Sumner Bryant, Roy French, Laura Shores, Melanie Redmond and Jeffrey French; sisters, Mary Jo Yates and Mattie Lou Croft; 11 grandchildren.
