Services for William H. Waldrep, 95 of Thomasville will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Barwick Baptist Church. Rev. Elbert Chennell will officiate and interment in Rosewood Cemetery. Mr. Waldrep passed away May 15, 2013 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman. Born January 3, 1918 in Monticello, Ga, he was the son of the late J.H. Waldrep and Maggie Odell Baxley Waldrep. On January 1, 1942 in Coolidge he married Irene Parramore Waldrep who preceded him in death. He retired as manager of Hines Hill Plantation after 21 years of service. Mr. Waldrep served in the United States Military during World War II. He was a member of New Ochlocknee Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He is survived by his children, Yvonne Quick and husband Wendell of Pavo, Wayne Waldrep and wife Karen of Thomasville and Sue Griffin of Thomasville; grandchildren, Cindy Brasington, Lynne Gray and husband Laymon, Michael Quick and wife Anne, Cliff Waldrep and wife Debbie, Keith Waldrep and wife Holly, Mark Waldrep and wife Ashley, Chad Griffin and Dana York; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Quick, Lane Quick, Lexie Gray, Lincoln Gray, Ryan Waldrep, Hurston Waldrep, Morgan, Waldrep, Cutter Waldrep, Waverly Waldrep, Jewel Waldrep, Brooklyn Waldrep, Tate Griffin, Payton Griffin, Griffin York and MacLay York. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave 7th floor, New York, NY 10001. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at the Presbyterian Home.
