William James Lee

Graveside services for William James Lee, 86, of Thomasville will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 6 at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Jimmy Clanton will officiate. Pallbearers will be Danny Lee, John Lee, Rodney Harrison, Wayne Windham, Chase Lee and Kyle Lee. Mr. Lee passed away June 4, 2012 at Golden Living Center. Born September 1, 1925 in Cairo, he was the son of the late Berry M. Lee and Maggie Stephens Lee. He was marred to Hazel Bulloch Lee who preceded him in death. He was the manager of Long Pine Plantation, a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church, was a member of the Thomasville Exchange Club and Ducks Unlimited. Survivors include his children, Mike Lee and wife Janice and Steve Lee and wife Sandra all of Thomasville; grandchildren, Chase Lee and wife Karen, Kyle Lee and Stephanie Fielding; great-grandchildren, Parker Lee, Sophia Lee, Abby Fielding and Austin Fielding; brothers and sister, Robert Lee and wife Eleanor, Weyman Lee and wife Martha and Geraldine Harrison and husband Fred all of Cairo and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society, 180 Big Star Dr, Thomasville, Ga 31792. The family will receive friends 6-7:30 Tuesday at the funeral home.
