In Loving Memory of

William L. “Sonny” Corbin

April 7, 1938 – August 2, 2026

William L. “Sonny” Corbin, age 88, of Thomasville, Georgia, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior and was called home on August 2, 2026. Sonny was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and faithful friend. He was known for his kind heart, quiet strength, unwavering love for his family, and willingness to help others. His life was a testament to the values of faith, family, and hard work. He served in the United States Army early in his life after graduating from Moultrie High School in 1956. Upon his return from his service to his country, he started working for the Davis family and honed his craft becoming a remarkable salesman for Davis Industries. Later he continued a successful career with Hughes Supply. And finally closed out his career, retiring from Consolidated Pipe and Supply Co. He leaves behind his beloved wife,   Ida Corbin, that he cherished. Together they stood firm and strong, side by side for almost 63 years; his sons, Allen Corbin and wife Donna, and Brad Corbin and wife Lisa; his granddaughters, Caylee Corbin Wilson and husband Joseph Wilson, Katie Corbin Parmer and husband Ryan Parmer, Keri Corbin Robinson and husband Johnathan Robinson, and Kamryn Corbin. He was also blessed with five great-grandchildren: Lawson Wilson, Sonny Wilson, Frank Parmer, Farrah Parmer, and Scottie Robinson. Additional survivors include his sister, Laverne Cowart; his brother, Donald Corbin; sisters- in-law Nell Rehberg, Alice Dollar, Peggy Russell and husband Hank Russell, and Janice Lee and husband Mike Lee; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Sonny’s family rejoices in the assurance of God’s promise of eternal life and finds comfort in the words of Scripture:

Revelation 21:1-6 “

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth... He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain... I am making everything new.”

Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday August 6, 2025 in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Dr. Jimmy Clanton officiating. His family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00PM in the Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel.
