William Leonard Piland

Services for William Leonard Piland, 94 of Valdosta, are 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Elder Clifton Dean will officiate and interment will be in Ochlocknee City Cemetery. Mr. Piland died March 9, 2008 in Valdosta. Born March 26, 1913, he was the son of the late William Heber & Mary Ida Piland. On June 11, 1938 he married Mary Emma Hunnewell who preceded him in death. Mr. Piland was a retired farmer and a member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Grady Co. Survivors include his children, Patricia Falbaum of Loganville, Carolyn Mathis of Thomasville, Carroll Piland of Boston, George L. Piland of Valdosta, 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandsons. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
