William "Bill" Raymond McCullough, 85, Pelham, GA, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville. No services are planned.
Born December 17, 1923 in Ansonia, Connecticut, he was a son of the late William and Grace Victoria Benham McCullogh. He married Doris Lillian Newhall McCullough on July 23, 1947, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and she preceded him in death. He faithfully served his country in the United States Navy and was a retired machinist with Torrington. He was a member of the American Legion Post 265 and a member of the Honor Guard.
He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Collis, Pelham, Georgia; son, William R. McCullough, Pelham, Georgia; grandchildren, Heather Lynn Tinker, Pelham, Georgia, Richard Tinker, Pelham, Georgia, Carrie Lee Carter, Okinawa, Japan; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Grace Faircloth, Pelham, Georgia, Victoria Cheyenne Shaffer, Pelham, Georgia, Ronald Judson Carter, Okinawa, Japan, Darby Shaw Carter, Okinawa, Japan.
