William Osborne Miller

William Osborne Miller passed away on November 15, 2017 at Grady Trauma Center in Atlanta, Georgia due to injuries sustained in a traffic accident. He was born in Barwick, Georgia on July 2, 1938. He was the third of eight sons and two daughters born to Ray and Allie Mae Redfern Miller. He grew up on the family farm in Boston, Georgia and learn to plow a mule and learned to “lay corn by” as a teenager. After graduating from Boston School in 1956, he left home and moved to Atlanta where he went to work for A & P Bakeries. He met the love of his life Betty Sherin Miller, who he married on September 22, 1957. From their union, they had three children, Ronald G. Miller, Donald C. Miller, and Kathy D. Miller; granddaughter, Kristina Pruitt and two great grandsons Tommy Vinnacombe and Scott Vinnacombe, who survives. He went on to co-own Miller Electric Company and worked for the U.S. Postal Service, where he retired. After retiring, he went to work for Enterprise Rental service, where he was working at the time of his death. He was predeceased by his parents, Ray and Allie Mae Redfearn Miller, brothers, Ray Sam Miller, Wallace Miller, and Zack Miller and sister Janice Faye Miller Aaronson. He is survived by brothers G.A. (Helen) Miller, of Palmetto, Georgia, Randall (Mary Dale) Miller of Boston, Georgia, Jeff (Mary) Miller of Barwick, Georgia, Jack (Janis) Miller of Boston, Georgia and sister, Kaye (Bill) Miller Reynolds of Boston, Georgia. He was a member of Glen Haven Baptist Church in McDonough, Georgia. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Summerhill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the funeral home. Guests are invited to sign the online register at www.allenfh.com .
