William Randall Dollar

Services for William Randall Dollar, 76, of Thomasville will be held 11 am, Friday, July 6, 2012 at Dawson Street Baptist Church, Rev. Lee Waller and Gary Holland will officiate and interment will be in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Andy Collins, Kenneth Allen, Greg McNeil, William Brock, Dewayne Collins and Tyler Stephenson. Honorary pallbearers are O.B. White, Hank Rogers, Waymon Dekle and Randy Howell. Mr. Dollar passed away July 1, 2012 at Archbold Hospital. Born June 8, 1936 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Thomas Dollar and Georgia Chastain Dollar. On December 9, 1988 he married Lillian Collins Dollar who survives. Mr. Dollar was a graduate of Thomasville High School; retired from the US Air Force in 1974 and from the City of Thomasville in 1998. He was an umpire for softball tournaments and coached co-ed softball. Other survivors include his children, Jennifer Kalinosky William of Kyle, TX, Carol Huss David of Smithville, OK, Tara Sexton Shawn of Oklahoma, John Dollar of Arkansas, Bill Dollar of Colorado, Tom Dollar of North Carolina, Nathan Connell Ginger of Thomasville, Josh Connell Kim of Thomasville, Dusty Connell Jessica of Tifton; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother, Charles Dollar and great-granddaughter Lily Steve. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
