Services for William S. Sammie Robertson, Jr., 84 of Thomasville are 2 pm, Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Dawson Street Baptist Church. Rev. Lee Waller will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Robertson passed away June 16, 2011 at his residence. Born May 27, 1927 in Augusta, he was the son of the late William S. Robertson, Sr., and Lillian B. Thompson Robertson. He was married to Doris Willis Robertson in 1949 who preceded him in death in 1997. On October 2, 1998 he married Carolyn King Robertson who survives. Mr. Robertson was owner and operator of Robertson Electric which was founded in 1964; was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher, he was active in Jaycee's and was a former board member at Camp Piney Woods. Other survivors include son, Tommy Robertson and wife Brenda of Cairo, daughter, Sandra Young and husband Dr. Leon Young, daughter, Marianne Prevatt and husband Jack, all of Thomasville, stepson, Gary R. Boyd of Savannah; grandchildren, Kay Lewis Walker and husband Troy, Debbie Young Sutton and husband Will, Sherri Young, Miranda Prevatt Tavolieri and husband Nathan, Michael Prevatt; great grandchildren, Emily Walker, Clay Walker, Mallory Walker, Samuel Tavolieri, Joshua Tavolieri, Rachel Sutton; sister, Dorothy Real and husband Dale of Los Altos, Ca. He was preceded in death by son Perry Lee Robertson. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm, Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home. Guests may sign the online register at
