William Harold Thomaston

Services for Reverend Harold Thomaston, 84 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Evergreen Baptist Church in Worth County, Ga. Reverend Todd Brooks will officiate. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Rev. Thomaston passed away February 20, 2023, at Archbold Hospital. Born June 30, 1938 in Ashland, Ala., he was the son of the late Burma Thomaston and Inez Wallace Thomaston. He was married to Joyce Brooks Thomaston for 64 years, who survives. He graduated from Auburn University with a Doctorate Degree in pharmacy. Rev. Thomaston was a pharmacist by trade; served as a pastor of Pineland Baptist Church for over 30 years and served as a missionary in India for 3 years and 9 years in Nigeria. He attended First Baptist Church of Thomasville, was an Auburn fan and liked to fish. Other survivors include his grandsons, Michael Mitchum, Thomas Mitchum and Will Mitchum. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Pam Mitchum; brother, Joe Thomaston and sister, Linda Brooks. The family will receive friends 10-11 am, before the service at the church.
