Services for William “Jack” Vonier, Sr. of Thomasville will be held on Friday, September 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Larry Parker will officiate. Interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Born on September 24th, 1936 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late W.B. Vonier and late Marie Jones Vonier. He was married to Janice Marigene Duncan Vonier for 55 years, who survives. He was the owner of Vonier House Moving, INC. Jack was very instrumental in conserving the history of Thomasville by moving numerous historical homes, churches and buildings. He loved fishing and working. His family was everything to him, and he will be deeply missed by them. Survivors include his wife, Marigene Vonier; children, William Mark Vonier (Deidra) of Thomasville, Conni Selva-Still (Edward) of Islamorada, FL, Karen Vonier of Thomasville, Jan Simmons (Darron) of Ormond Beach, FL, William Jack Vonier, Jr. of Thomasville, Kristin Vonier of Norfolk, VA, Colby Vonier of Thomasville, Chase Vonier of Thomasville; brother, Wallace Vonier of Thomasville; 11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Hugo Steven Selva, Lillian Janna Douglass and Elle Mae Vonier.
