William ''Bubba'' Howard Pearce

William ''Bubba'' Howard Pearce, age 64, of Okeechobee, Florida, died Sunday, March 2, 2003 in Stuart, Florida. Born April 5, 1938 in Carbon Hill, Alabama, Mr. Pearce had been a resident of Okeechobee since 1980. He was the plantation manager and dog trainer for Rollins Blue Cypress Ranch-Yeehaw Plantation. Bubba was a member of the National Rifle Association; Georgia/Florida Field Trial Club and First United Methodist Church of Carbon Hill. Survivors include one son, Ray Kim Pearce of Albany, Georgia; one daughter, Tina Cauley of Thomasville, Georgia; beloved friend and companion of many years, Kay Kline of Okeechobee; one grandson, Keith Cauley of Thomasville, GA; three granddaughters, Ashli Cauley of Thomasville, Casey Pearce and Kelly Pearce of Albany, GA.; four sisters, Elaine David McGough and Mary Virginia Joe Frank Files all of Carbon Hill, Alabama, Sarah Jane Lamar Soper of Laurenceburg, Indiana, and Lucille Josef Vellner of Sweden. Friends may call at the Buxton Funeral Home in Okeechobee, Fl. on Wednesday, March 5, 2003 from 5:00p.m. until funeral services time at 7:00p.m., with Rev. John Marks, officiating. A memorial service will be conducted at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel in Thomasville, Georgia, on Thursday, March 6, 2003, at 5:00 p.m. Further visitation will be held at Carbon Hill United Methodist Church in Carbon Hill, Alabama, on Saturday, March 8, 2003 from 1:00 p.m. until funeral services time at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill, Alabama.
