Willie Eugene Rhoden Sr.

Services for Willie Eugene Rhoden, Sr., 82 of Ochlocknee will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Brooks will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dylan King, Stephen Ansley, Chris Griffin, Donnie Wilson, Derek Murphy, Billy Benton and Tanner King. Mr. Rhoden passed away February 13, 2023 at Legacy Village. Born October 9, 1940 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Willie Walter Rhoden and Mary Johnson Rhoden. He was married to Betty Dean Benton Rhoden for 55 years, who preceded him in death in 2015. He was a veteran of the United States Army, was a member of Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. He worked for Hurst Boilers as a salesman and enjoyed gardening. He is survived by his children, Terri Clifford and husband Michael, Willie E. (Buddy) Rhoden, Jr and wife Morgan and Tony Rhoden and wife Lynn all of Ochlocknee; grandchildren, Kristi Griffin and husband Chris, Carson Godwin, Carter Ray Rhoden, Chelsey Ansley and husband Stephen, Cassidee Brooks, Dylan King and wife Lindsey and Tanner King; great grandchildren, Sadie Grace Griffin, Logan Griffin, Keegan Ansley, Paisley Ansley, Coleson Brooks and Ellie Kate Brooks; sister, Martha Nell of Quitman; special friend, Dotsy Hancock; sister-in-law, Barbara Benton of Ochlocknee and Janice Becknall of Orlando, Fl. He was preceded in death by parents, wife and sister, Janice Blow. The family will receive friends 12:00pm - 1:00pm before the service at the church.
