Wilma Cashman

Wilma M. Cashman of Thomasville passed away on Saturday September 29, 2018 at her daughter’s residence. Born on February 15, 1936 in Camden, NJ., she was the daughter of the late William Henry Smashey and Grace Wilson Smashey. Mrs. Cashman moved to Thomasville in 1982 and began working for Thomas College in 1987 as the secretary for the Academic Vice President before being appointed the Administrative Assistant for Academic Services in 1988. She held this position until her retirement from Thomas College. She also began working for the Thomasville Area Board of Realtors in 1993 as the Executive Director before retiring after 30 years of service. After retirement, she continued to be apart of this organization as she would fill in as needed and enjoyed helping area realtors. Mrs. Cashman is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Fred and Valeree Fritzsche of Thomasville; daughter and son-in-law Laura and Chuck Anglea of Ochlocknee; grandchildren Ian and Tiffani Fritzsche, Kristen and Dustin Maeno, Hunter and Rebekah Anglea, and Cooper Anglea; great grandchildren Lilly Fritzsche and Bowen Fritzsche; special extended family Steve and Ann Vente, Michael Vente, David and Tessa Vente, and Susann Vente. Her family held a private graveside service in Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers her family ask that donations be made to the Thomas County Food Bank at P.O. Box 975, Thomasville, Ga. 31799 where she volunteered for over 18 years.
