Winnie Faye Pfister

Graveside services for Winnie Faye Williams Pfister, 94, of Thomasville, will be at 11:00AM, Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on 8th Street. The Rev. Ronnie Wills will officiate. Mrs. Pfister died September 21, 2018 at Glenn-Mor Nursing Home. Born November 7, 1923 in Early County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Tom Williams, Sr. and Lena Glisson Williams. On July 21, 1944 at the First United Methodist Church in Thomasville she married A.B. Pfister whom she met in Bainbridge during the war. Mr. Pfister preceded her in death on May 31, 2009. Mrs. Pfister was a member of the First United Methodist Church and retired after 44 years from Southern Bell. She loved to collect postcards, Coca Cola memorabilia, Roseville and depression glass. Survivors include son Donald Pfister of Thomasville, grandson, Thomas Morgan Pfister, step-grandson, Josh Lodge, step great-grandchild, Willa Lodge and a niece and several nephews. Also surviving is her special friend, Merle Carmen. She was preceded in death by sisters, Estell Tabb, Avis Lasseter and Cora Lawrence and brother, Tom Williams, Jr. The family would like to thank the staff of Archold Hospital, Glenn Mor Nursing Home, Hospice of Southwest GA, Dr. Crenshaw and Dr. Hicks. They would also like to thank her friend and sitter, Betty Anderson for all the special love and care that she gave her. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-7PM at the funeral home.
