Services for Winton Arvin Craven of Thomasville, GA., are at 4:00PM on Thursday, February 12, 2004 at McKibben Funeral Home in Hogansville, GA. Interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, GA. Mr. Craven died February 9, 2004 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville. Born August 2, 1931 in Troupe Co., GA., he was the son of the late Ernest Jackson Craven and Ethel Butherum Long. He was married to Lillie Merle Stone who preceded him in death. Mr. Craven was a United States Air Force veteran and a retired pressman for the Atlanta Journal. He was a member of the Cotton Bole Express of Pelham, GA. Survivors include daughters, Judy Shaw of Douglasville, GA., Jeannie Atkinson of Ochlocknee, GA., Vickie Jordan of Lumber Bridge, NC., son, Dale Arvin Craven of Georgia, daughters, Beverly Clark of Thomasville, Melissa McGill of Douglasville, GA.; twenty two grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Pelham Country Jamboree. The family will receive friends at Allen & Allen Funeral Home in Thomasville from 6-9:00PM on Wednesday and from 2-4:00PM on Thursday at McKibben Funeral Home in Hogansville.
