Wonzel Jean Hopkins

Funeral services for Wonzel Jean Hopkins of Thomasville will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday July 8, 2021 in the Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel with her family receiving friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00PM. Ms. Hopkins passed away on Monday July 5, 2021 at Camellia Gardens of Life. Born on March 11, 1937 in Birmingham, Al., she was the daughter of the late Tillman Henry Hopkins and Estora Dooly Hopkins. She was a life-long resident of Birmingham where she worked at Traveler's Insurance for 30 years before retirement and was a member of South Roebuck Baptist Church. She moved to Thomasville five years ago and attended Fair Haven Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include her nieces Juanita Stuart of Pavo, Ga. and Donna Bradley of Hanceville, Al; nephew David Hopkins of Crane Hill, Al; great nieces and nephews Dean Stuart, Emily Wolfe, Andy Crump, Brittney Wallace, Tiffany Cannon, Melissa Boeckeler, Jamie Bradley. She was preceded in death by her sisters Jeanette Hopkins and Unie Ryan; brothers Delmar Hopkins and Ernie Hopkins. Burial will be held in Forrest Crest Cemetery in Birmingham, Al.
